Tough get going in the Richard Burrell Trophy

When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and there was some real character in tough conditions yesterday.

Despite the sun and flat water in the bay, a strong south-westerly built during the race and gusted off the cliff tops. Bodelias was a particularly tricky mark with a number of capsizes.

Jon Spencer (helm) and Simon Peck (crew) won the race with a storming performance in the Hobie 16.

Well done to all involved and thanks to OOD Paul Rees and Rescue Officer Sue Rees.
